Seller tested product after my purchase and it's not functional
Last night I purchased a camera. This morning the seller sent me this message.
"Good evening I'm so sorry to report this but the camera is seeming to have some issues it's been awhile since I last used it and in it's time collecting dust it seems to have decided to clunk out. It won't even turn on now so in good conscious I can no longer sell it. Please feel free to cancel your order for a complete and immediate refund of your money. Apologies again and thank you for your understanding."
I tried to cancel the order but I was informed it was too late to cancel. On the help pages there is no category for this issue.
The seller hasn't responded to my messages since. How do I get a refund?

Mentor3 years agoThe seller has to cancel at his end. Otherwise, if you do not get a refund or the item by the estimated delivery date you can file a dispute for an Item Not Received for a refund.
I suspect he just wants you to contact him and "request a refund", so he does not get penalized for cancelling.

The seller is the one that has to cancel the transaction.
