Seller states item I bought was sold 2 years ago?

Question

I emailed seller after I bought and paid for item (including shipping fee).

Seller responded back a couple days later and stated item had been sold 2 years ago. He has asked that I cancel order.

Is this a scam?

How do I get my money back?

It has been known to happen. We are just people who make mistakes sometimes. You can ask to cancel and you will be refunded. Or you can wait until the estimated date of delivery has passed and then open a case of item not received and you will be refunded if no proof of delivery is given.
