I made an offer to mnistor11(354) for a Canon 5D Mark IV. The asking price was $1399. I made an offer for $1000 which was denied. I immediately made a higher offer of $1101. Mnistor11(354) made me a counteroffer for $1250. I received an email from eBay stating that the offer was for 23 hours.

I reached out to the seller concerning this issue. The seller's answer was "SOLD". The seller even had the audacity to sell the camera for a lower price $1225!
Please contact me concerning this issue. I am highly disappointed.

The seller was allowed to accept any offer they chose, even if was lower than your offer, and even if it was with before your offer expired.

Mentor2 years agoSorry, but this is allowed. The item does not stop being for sale when an offer is made, only when an offer is accepted and paid. It doesn't help you, but nothing was against the rules.
