Seller sold me an item and then I got a message stating that I was being refunded for the item.
I purchased an item and received confirmation. Then I received a notice that I was being refunded for the item. Did the seller decide not to sell it to me? Why do I not get any more information? When I try to get answers from the FAQS questions on ebay, I get the message that I have already been refunded and can’t start any other process. How do I report the seller if I find out they didn’t have the item, or had sold it somewhere else and didn’t take the posting down, or just decided that I hadn’t paid enough for the item. If it’s for sale on ebay, then I should be able to buy it.

Mentor9 months agoThe seller can cancel the transaction due to No Longer Available due to out of stock or the item was damaged, and they will receive a defect from Ebay. You should be able to see the reason for the cancellation in the Order Details in your Purchase History.

OP8 months agoI understand that if you’re selling stuff from a business you might be out of stock, but this seems like just someone selling their stuff. The only thing in the order details is a statement “You received a refund!†like I should be excited. I’d be more excited if i received the item that I paid for.
