Seller sold me a fake 1943 copper cent.
Hello! So, u recently purchased what i thought to be a 1943 copper cent. The copper coins do no stick to magnets. So once i got the penny, i did the magnet test and it failed big time. it stuck to the magnet. The coin was colored / painted to look like the rare copper penny.
Of course i had my doubts before purchasing. So i messaged the seller asking if it was copper plated or fake. The seller said they did not know. So i took a chance hoping that it would be the real deal.
So now i have opened a return request by the option of 'Does not match description or listing' . I took pictured of the fake coin stuck on a magnet and pointed out that i even asked about it being fake.
The seller is refusing to refund me stating that i purchased the 1943 coin according to the listing and description so i cant get a refund.
Im still waiting for eBay to step in and hopefully start my return / refund process.
So my question is, will i get my refund? Im anxious to finally have eBay respond.
I can update the ending of this story once Ebay makes a decision!
