Seller sold item I already purchased
Purchased item when Seller approved best price proposal. Six days later, Seller emailed that item was out of stock, someone else bought it for original posted price. While shopping, I noticed same seller had same item llisted under two different ebay numbers, with different prices. Could have been two different items which would explain using same photo for both listings. Seller later said he had three listings and all were sold, yet page with seller's ID lists same number of items sold as before I purchased. Blames it on ebay?
Anyone buying this explanation?

It sounds like you made a best offer and the seller accepted it. Did you pay for the item?
With a best offer the item remains available for another buyer to purchase until you pay. The message you received that your offer was accepted and to pay has this information, that is why it is important for you to pay as soon as you can for items where a best offer is accepted.
If you paid and the seller canceled the order for being out of stock they will receive a defect on their selling account.

OP10 months agoI did pay the minute seller accepted my offer. Then seller cancelled six days later? And the other listing is gone also. I suppose ebay has records of all sales by any seller but if they're anything like Amazon Seller "Support" they won't be much help.
By the way, this is the third event like this from 3 different sellers this year. All the items were collectibles related to current political events.
