Seller shipping options hidden
Summary: 8715erick expressed frustration over eBay automatically applying a flat rate shipping option on an item they listed, instead of allowing them to choose calculated shipping costs. I listed an item and ebay applied flat rate shipping which I didn't want. I always want to use the calculate shipping cost option. I don't remember this being the case in the past but the buttons to choose calculate cost vs flat rate are hidden. In the seller listing creation page in the shipping section you don't see the options on the page. You have to click on a small line of grey text that brings up a popup to see the options. I missed seeing it and the flat rate option was applied which cost me a good chunk of money because the item wasn't just a small item. Did this page change recently where those options are hidden?

If that is not the problem please reply with which listing tool you are using. On a computer there is the Easy Lister and Advanced Tool located in the Seller Hub.

I'm a standard seller working on a desktop computer creating listings by clicking on "Sell items" within the MyEbay experience. I'm including a screenshot of the shipping section in the listing creation page. I think there should be "calculate shipping cost" and "flat rate shipping" buttons in that section where you can choose. By default one of those options is selected (in this case flat rate shipping), but I don't think it's explicitly stated enough.
