Seller shipped wrong item to buyer

Hello,

I buyer purchased a pair of shoes from me. I accidentally shipped him the wrong pair of shoes. I recognized my mistake this morning and packaged up and shipped the shoes he purchased. I would like to get the incorrect shoes returned to me. I am willing to pay for shipping, of course. Has anyone done this? What advice would have for me?

As you already mentioned you can offer to pay for the shipping back but keep in mind that even then eBay does not require them to send them back.
