Seller sent wrong type of item, different from the listing description, what should I do?
I ordered these adapters
I was fooled by the first picture and thought I would be sent the same type of adapters since those are the kind I had previously ordered on Amazon. Instead I got ones closer to the second picture, but white and made of cheaper warped plastic and one of them was even almost coming apart. Theyre also rated only for 15A 125V while the ones I already had are 16A 250V, though I dont think it matters much actually, but still. They were wrapped in a smelly packaging with dirt in it. Needless to say all of that made it a bad experience and I had the feeling I was dealing with a cheap seller that doesnt care about the buyer or the QC of their products. And their rude and threatening response when I appealed for a refund on top. I dont know what to do.
Ideally Id like a full refund without a return, since I exported the items via a freight forwarder and so shipping them back would cost just as much as the refund. On the other hand, I believe the money back guarantee doesnt cover such export cases.
I appealed the case as "item didnt arrive" since ebay doesnt have a wrong item option, and will be able to ask them to step in after Aug 25.
What should I do?

Mentor2 years agoThe ebay Money Back Guarantee does not apply since these items were forwarded from a reshipper. However, if you were to file a Returns Request, with the reason Not as Described, the seller would send a return label to the reshipper. You would then need to get the items to the reshipper so they can be sent back to the seller.
