seller sent wrong item
What happens to my return window when a seller burns most of it because they sent you a different item than what you purchased? Then you have to send the wrong item back. They don't always respond right away and by the time you wait for them to receive the returned item and (hopefully) get the item you actually purchased sent to you, the time you have to evaluate the correct item is diminished significantly by no fault of your own, especially if it is a larger bulky item like a desktop computer which takes a week or more each direction. Buyers should be treated fairly and this seems abusive to the buyer. I could not find this addressed in the rules, but it should be.

Mentor2 years ago@brandts0 When a seller sends the wrong item you you send it back at the sellers expense for a full refund at the sellers expense. Then if you wish to buy from the same seller again you can. That's how the return system works.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a refund request. The return request also goes on the sellers record.
Open a return with the reason wrong item sent>
Select the return item button on this page:

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Don't accept promise of replacement items that may never come as the case can time out on you. If that happens then you have to try and seek compensation from your funding source.
