Seller sent me an empty package
Hi, I am extremely frustrated. A seller sent me an empty envelope without including my order. Initially, I thought it could have been a mistake, but when I told the seller they didn’t respond. I wrote to them several times over a few days and they ignored my messages. So, I asked EBay to step it. A few days later I get a notice that my claim was dismissed because I received the envelope in the mail. Is this a loophole that EBay doesn’t consider??? I have ordered over 100 items on eBay and never ran into this problem. It’s really a slap in the face that a seller can do this. Please let me know if anyone has any advise. Thanks

·3 years agoNo, it's not a loophole, you opened the wrong case.
You opened an item not received case and tracking shows something was received.
You needed to open a not as described case.
If you paid through Pay Pal, open a case with them or contact your credit card, but don't open an item not received case, because they will be closed also.

OP3 years agoOkay, I think it should specify that in “item not as described†option. Since my item was not returnable, I didn’t want to say the “item†was not as described. It made more sense to say it wasn’t received, because it wasn’t. Thanks. I was able to contact someone who helped me resolve the situation.
