Seller sent me an empty box
I am trying to get ebay to step in and return the money that I paid for a scammer that sent me an empty box. There is no option to ask ebay to step in after the seller “accepted a return”. I have tried to get in contact with ebay for assistance, but there is no one to talk to. The seller stated on a message that he is not going to send me a label to send the empty box back, but he “accepted the return”. Does anyone know what to do in this case?

If you receive something but the item is "not as described" -- even if it was just an empty box -- you need to start a "not as described" return within thirty days of receiving it. You will have to provide a picture of the box and a couple of sentences of text about the issue.

If the seller does not refund you or provide a return shipping label you should be able to ask eBay to step in. The process is automated; if the seller does not cooperate at any point, ask eBay to step in after three business days but before twenty-one business days has passed.

Past thirty days, you may still have some recourse through your payment method; contact your card issuer for details.
