Seller sent me a counterfeit product. Abused with racist messages. eBay has decided in their favour.
I ordered a "Xiaomi MiBand 8". When I opened the package instead of the Band there was another watch - A Fake Apple watch. I raised a dispute & seller accepted return but did not send a shipping label and asked me to ship.
I've been trying since Two weeks. Postal EMS, DHL & FedEx all refused to ship the watch since it contains a "counterfeit Apple Watch" & local laws prohibit export. It also contains a battery which they don't carry.
I've asked the seller to arrange for a shipping label. He replied with abusive and racist messages. eBay has not taken any action against him. eBay has also decided the case against me.
Please explain if the seller has sent me a counterfeit product which shipping carriers refuse to carry due to local laws, how is the buyer at fault? How is return entirely the buyers responsibility? If I am ready to ship but unable to do so, why cant the seller or eBay arrange for shipping in this case?
Also how is eBay allowing racism and abuse on eBay messages? I am a 20 year eBay buyer and have never faced this kind of treatment from ebay.
Please somebody help me this has shattered my faith in eBay. How can eBay allow people to be treated this way? I have a 100% positive feedback since 20 years and the seller has 85% positive with many such complaints.
