seller sent fake package
I purchased a guitar all in about $1400 . On ebay messaging seller said they had delays in shipping but put a lock on the case and sent me a KEY in separate cover. The key came but no guitar. Now 30 days later I open a case of "item not received" and they respond by posting the KEY tracking number saying the Guitar was delivered. I got a KEY not a Guitar. Will Ebay look at our messages which out line our communications? How can I alert Ebay to this scam

Mentor1 year ago@paulsound Sorry you had a bad seller. You need to file a NOT AS DESCRIBED refund request. You lost the not received case because tracking showed delivery.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request. If it is over 30 days since delivery of the key you will need to file a chargeback with your bank or credit card.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.

Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
