Seller sells out of stock items
So I bought a electric hand mixer. the seller made tracking right away BUT has held onto it for 8 days afterwards. Now I realize the item is out of stock. Instead of canceling the seller sells those items since they give a long delivery time, believing it will be restocked by whoever they dropship for. What if that company never gets them back in? So I am stuck waiting!
I filed a dispute and the seller sent me a message saying they resolved it and for me to revise my feedback. NO WAY! Since they did not update the tracking or anything- instead all they did was send that message, trying to trick me to change my feedback. Not a nice ploy for them to pull

Mentor5 months agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back. Once you file, the seller has 3 days to provide a tracking number that shows Delivered or issue a full refund. If the seller does neither, on day 4 you return to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force a refund.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.

OP5 months agoI did. I said in my post that I filed a dispute. I just saying this seller sells out of stock items and doesn't let the buyer know. It should not be allowed

Mentor5 months agoSellers get a defect recorded on their account for cancelling for Out of Stock, so your seller is trying to avoid that. However, if the clerk at the carrier counter sees the date on the shipping label, the package may be refused until a new label is printed. I bet the seller is hoping you will request a cancellation, so that s/he can state Buyer requested and not receive a defect.
