Seller selling defective items and won't answer about a return for refund.
I tried buying a controller for a EZGO golf cart from a seller and the first one he sent me was defective. Cart wouldn't move after I installed it. Contacted seller for a return and he asked me to cancel the return and he would send me another one. Got the second one and it was defective also. Tried contacting him again and now he won't answer me. How do I go about getting my money back?

Mentor1 month agoebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item.
Go to My ebay > Purchase History
Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

OP1 month agoCan't use that option because they had me cancel the first one I was going to return and now it doesn't allow me to return it because it doesn't recognize that they sent me a second one to replace the first one.

Mentor1 month agoHi @e_pyles
I'm sorry you dealt with a fraudulent seller. Once you close a return, you cannot reopen it., so eBay won't be able to help now.
At this point, contact your credit card company to inquire about a chargeback.

OP1 month agoCan't do that because I used PayPal to purchase it and they refer you back to eBay to get the refund. I'm going to try and call them about it as that seems to be my only option left at this point.
