Seller says this payouts need to be reinstated and hasn’t shipped my item
A seller is telling me his payouts were placed on a hold and eBay is reinstating and to protect him self wanted to wait until reinstated until he shipped my item. Is this a true thing ?

Mentor9 months agoAs explained, new sellers/returning are subject to their funds being held, but the money for shipping the item is released so they can purchase a label. This frightens some new sellers, thinking they won't get their money. It really isn't your problem and the seller was wrong to involve you. They need to ship or they will get a late shipment defect on their account. They could end up suspended before they even begin. Feel free to invite them here to ask the question and we can set them straight.

No. Depending on how established your seller is, the payment is probably going to held at least until delivery. If he is very new, or the item is expensive, the hold will be 30 days.
If he does not ship, you’ll want to open a not received claim as soon as the purchase is eligible.
After the last expected delivery date, but no more than 30 days after the last expected delivery date, go to your purchase history - select 'I haven't received it' and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, or a refund. If he doesn't, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
