Seller says negative feedback gets deleted
I bought something from a buyer that was missing a piece. His description said he looks to please everyone so offer solutions. He said I could get a partial refund or return for a refund. I then offered solutions through several messages that went unanswered. I sent a message asking for a response. Then another several hours later asking for a response so I can plan to return the item.
His response was “I don’t know why you’re sending endless emails. I told you to return it†Anyways, he got ruder so I said I was offering you a chance to fix the issue since you put in your description that that’s what you want to do. I said feedback will reflect the convo.
He said leave whatever feedback you want, eBay will delete negative feedback since not all buyers are good.
Question is- do they delete negative feedback? If so, what’s the point in even leaving it? Should I report since it makes me believe that he has more negative feedback that just got deleted. And is just sending people things with missing pieces like this but still getting his positive feedback?

A partial refund or a return for a refund, these are the two options that are mostly used.

My advice: make a choice for one of them.

OP1 year agoSorry I should’ve clarified. My messages gave a dollar amount for the partial refund, which he never replied to. So I messaged asking for a response for if he would refund the dollar amount I suggested.
