Seller retracting purchase
I bid on, won and paid for a pair of lamps. The auction started at $0.99 with no reserve. Seller just notified me that “they are not soldâ€, she wants $900.00. What are my rights?

Sadly, you have no 'rights' to the lamps if the seller refuses to ship ... as eBay has no legal way to force the seller to honor your win. [eBay isn't able to force a buyer to pay either.] eBay is only able to penalize members who don't play by the rules ... and your seller received a 'defect' when they cancelled.
You can leave the seller the feedback you feel they deserve, however.

OP3 years agoThank you for your answer. That is unfortunate but I understand now that Ebay can’t do anything to force the seller to ship the lamps. Hopefully they will force him to refund my payment since he still hasn't done that.
