Seller renegging on item

Question

I purchased an item through auction. The seller accepted my payment, then said they would never sell this item for so little. I explained that's the idea behind auctions. Buyer said she didn't know it was an auction! I haven't received the item or a refund. Isn't she obligated to send the item?

Yes, the seller is obligated to send the item, but Ebay cannot force the seller to ship it.

If they do not issue a refund, you will need to use the Ebay Money Back Guarantee:

IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, file a Refund Request:

Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history

Select â€œMore actionsâ€ beside your item and then â€œI didn't receive it.â€
Click the box beside I want a refund.
Select Send request.

If the seller does not respond after 3 days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

Find the item in your Purchase History
Select See request details
Select â€œAsk eBay to step in.â€
