Seller refusing to pay shipping fee they promised to pay
Seller item was defective on arrival. I asked to return, and they told me I have to pay out of pocket for the shipping fee first, then they will refund me. Once it was sent back and i sent them the bill, they refused to pay the shipping fee. The case was closed and ebay refused to help get the refund for the shipping fee. What to do?

Mentor1 year ago@yellow0074096 I am sorry that the seller was not honest. There is no way within eBay for a seller to refund more than the original sale amount.
Always file an official eBay return request AND ask eBay to step in and help on the 4th business day if the seller has not provided a return shipping label OR sent the money to your PayPal account to pay for return shipping if they are located in a different country.
Never pay return shipping out of pocket and expect to be refunded, even if an agent suggests it.
eBay can not force the seller to refund more than the original sale amount.
