seller refusing refund

Question

Sellers have not refunded defective products or honored their warranty on too many occasions. I have responded to seller, involved Ebay with no refund or warranty honored by their own policies. How can their be so many problems with no direct satisfaction or positive results.

Go to My ebay > Purchase History

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

If the seller is from another country, s/he will have to send enough funds to cover return shipping, because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country, or refund in full without having you return the item. If the seller does neither, click on the link to Ask ebay to step in, when it shows up in the case.

Manufacturers of items do not honor warranties on their items unless the seller is an authorized dealer or reseller. Did you perhaps purchase the warranty offered by Allstate with the purchase? If so, you can contact them using the phone number in the feedback they left.

@dennidaubenmir-0 , "Sellers have not refunded defective products or honored their warranty on too many occasions". eBay's Money back Guarantee (MBG) only protects you for up to 30 days from when an item is delivered. After that time frame you would probably have to file through your payment source. Some new items sold on ebay are ones that are out of production or superseded, rendering the MFR's warranty invalid. Even if an item is still in production, the Mfr. may not honor their warranty unless the seller is an authorized dealer of the product. If you receive an item that supposedly has a warranty, but does not come with a warranty form, you should file an item not as described dispute right away. You've been an ebay member for almost 10 years and should know by now how to check a seller's feedback profile and you should do that before buying from any seller these days, no matter what their feedback percentage is.
