Seller refuses to reply and ebay help is useless
I bought a part for my car shortly after installing it the part failed. I contacted the seller asking for a refund and they tried several times to get me to take a reduced refund. I refused the reduced refund and now they will not reply to me. When I try to get ebay to help with their buyer guarantee it takes me to the seller and when I get there it says the refund period has ended even though I started the process before the refund period had ended. I cannot get through to a person at ebay to explain the situation and the virtual assistant has been no help.
What can I do now?

Mentor2 years agoThe easiest way is to go to your Purchase history, locate the item. You have 30 days from date of receipt. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on MORE to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. You print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
If it has been more than 30 days since receipt of the item, file a Returns Request with Paypal if that is how you paid. Paypal accepts cases within 180 days from the transaction. As a last resort, contact your credit card issuer if that is how you paid.
