Seller refuses to refund defective item
Summary: carpenter4life bought DeWalt batteries that seem to be counterfeit and won't hold a charge. They faced issues getting a refund from the seller, who offered partial refunds, and from eBay, which claimed the purchase was outside their money-back guarantee. carpenter4life feels misled and frustrated by the lack of support, noting other reviews indicating similar problems with the seller, and is unable to get their own review published or contact eBay for help.
I bought a pair of DeWalt batteries. Which appear to be knock offs and won’t hold a charge. I reached out to the buyer and they sent me a message from an employee asking if I’d take a 50% refund. I said in then they asked me if I’d take 75%. I said no. Then nothing. I filed a request for refund and eBay said I was outside the money back guarantee and refused to help me. I said I felt ripped off. The snotty eBay associate said I wasn’t ripped off. I feel taken advantage as if w the consumer don’t matter.
There are also other reviews of this seller, being accused of selling DeWalt knock offs.
Further my review of this seller has been not processed to appear?
And when I contact eBay for further help, I am blown off and unable to talk to anyone?
How does this site exist anymore with these kind of issues?

I am embarrassed that you were treated that way. As to the eBay Money Back Guarantee, as you learned, it is for 30 day from delivery date. To get a refund at this point you will need to pursue a dispute with your funding source.
