Seller refuses to give refund

Hello,

Trying to get information on what recourse I have when I received an item that was too small and I quickly contacted the seller and asked for a refund and they told me they would not give a refund. The seller suggested I try to sell this item myself on eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

This is my first time experiencing this. Do I have any recourse within Ebay to get a refund after the seller has denied me this?

Fit issues are considered by eBay to be buyers remorse and sellers are not required to accept returns if they do not want to.

The only way to get a refund for a size issue is if the seller listed one size and the item you received is marked as another size. The items must be marked with different sizes not just that the item does not fit as you think it should. In this case you would have needed to have opened an "Item not as described" case.

So since the seller rejected your return request all you can do is to go to your payment source and see if they will allow a charge back. There are strict time limits for doing this so ask now.

You should open a Return Request.

If it is an item that was described incorrectly, choose that reason.

If it is an item that was described correctly, but doesn't fit your application, choose that reason.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
