Seller refused to cancel item after it shipped late. Left feedback but it doesn't show up.
I ordered a gift from Japan. The seller didn't ship it for several days and I realized it would no longer arrive on time so I put in a cancellation request. Essentially the following day, after much back and forth with the seller, first them saying it had shipped, then saying it was awaiting shipment, they didn't ship it until a couple of hours after I said I need a tracking number, then they finally did ship it and told me they don't honor cancellation requests.
The item arrived and on top of everything it smelled like someone spent years blowing cigarette smoke into the open suede lined case.
I left negative feedback and it has not appeared on the seller page. What do I need to do?

Sellers are under no obligation to honor a cancellation request.
The problem with the cigarette smoke however you can address. Here's what to do...
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

Because the seller is international, he will not be able to provide a shipping label and will have to send you the money to return it. You can check with USPS to get a quote for the return shipping (the cost is based on the package size and weight).
