Seller Refund Help
Hello,
I sold a very nice watch to someone, they received it and asked for a refund. They stated that the watch was too big for their wrist and did not like the look. To me I shouldn't have even issued a refund but was like okay I'll be the bigger person. I issued the refund, filled out the address info for him to send back and now he is saying that sometimes eBay doesn't make the buyer return the item, and he says he wants to do the right thing. So if I could create a shipping label so he could send it back. First off, I thought all the prompts ebay sent me I did do that, secondly, he should have to pay for it considering he just didn't like the look. Anyways, I have been polite and even said I would create one and pay for it but am unable to do it, or at least everything I have tried. I want to speak to Ebay and get my watch back, which I am also worried considering my watch was real and will definitely have it inspected, that is when/if I get it. Any help would be great.

Mentor1 year ago@hip-02 I hope you didn't refund the buyer before you got the watch back. A buyer can not print an eBay return label once a refund is issued. Since this is an expensive watch I recommend buying a return label for the buyer. I know that doesn't seem fair but it's better to get the watch back so you can sell it again.
Always get the item back and then refund the buyer. Once a refund is issued there is no motivation for the buyer to return the item and you can no longer provide an eBay label.

You can send the buyer a return shipping label in eBay messages as a JPEG. Buy the label on Pirateship.com. They refund you for the label if it's not used within 30 days. They charge the same commercial base rates as eBay. I would recommend getting a label that requires a signature on delivery and paying for insurance, but those are your choices.
