Seller Ratings
Is it me or I am witnessing a lack of eBay response to Seller problems?!! I experienced two weekends in a row with snowstorms that closed my local post offices on the following Mondays!! Therefore, I could not upload my tracking on time!! There were 13 shipments involved!! It has affected my Seller Metric for uploading packages on time!! TRY getting eBay to resolve the issue is, 'scuse my French, a pain in the butt!! I even sent an email to eBay with the transactions involved!! The response: please VERIFY the event!! This is ridiculous!! As I stated to eBay, do I need to get affidavits from the post offices? Do I need to get those notarized?!! Hey, I realize there are many other sellers with WORSE situations than mine regarding the extreme weather events happening all over the country!! BUT what is eBay doing to respond to that? Please verify that you have been impacted by extreme weather!!

Mentor6 months ago@tsm4252. I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble with the promised seller protection.
I always recommend that sellers extend their handling time either manually or by using Time Away when a major storm is likely. This can save a lot of frustration.
I recommend contacting customer service on social media to ask about the promised seller protection and what hoops you are expected to jump through to receive the promised protection.
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

OP6 months agoHi, Thank you for your response!! I am old school and do not use social media!! Having been on eBay for over 20 years, I can remember when it was much easier to contact eBay, speak to a HUMAN being, and resolve issues!! It would be very easy for eBay to track MAJOR weather events across the country and EXTEND the Upload of Tracking Times during those situations!! Instead, I am being asked to provide PROOF of the events and that my local post offices were closed!! This is not what I call Seller Friendly!! It displays a skepticism on the part of eBay to trust my integrity in a relationship of over 20 years!!

Try this to contact customer service. Even though your account is not necessarily restricted it could be affected by the late shipment so I think that this is a good option. Don't type more in the chat bot box.
If the USPS site has any information about the closer be sure to share that. As annoying as it is eBay may want a note of some kind from your post office confirming the closer. https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/residential/welcome.htm
