Seller quotes one delivery date on the ad, but they revise it after the sale
One seller said it was USA stock but it took 10 days to get from Southern California to Northern California. And another item I purchased from a seller because they quoted delivery approx. 12/29 After the order was placed they updated delivery to January 9th.
How does Ebay allow sellers to do this?

We’re not eBay … so have no access to your account to view the shipping information you’re asking about.
I’m sorry you’re unhappy with your reply. Nobody can explain why there’s a specific delay in delivery … but it’s not uncommon this time of year, regardless of the weather.
You can file an ‘Item not received’ claim the day after the estimated delivery date you were given. You have 30 days after the EDD to file the claim.

OP2 years agoThanks for the replies but this is an easy question. Sellers in China are saying they have stock in the USA when they dont. They are using deceptive dates to entice you to place an order with them.
Why isn't eBay responding to my posts? If I am correct thats a pretty big issue, you would think they would support the community and not just the vendors

This is a member-to-member forum … as stated at the top. That’s why eBay isn’t responding to your posts.
You didn’t mention anything about China in your question. An item shipped from China usually takes a lot longer than 10 days to be delivered.
It’s unfortunate that eBay has no way of knowing when a seller lies about the item location. Many foreign sellers use US drop-shippers … so the seller’s location is not necessarily where the item will be shipped from. Reading a seller’s feedback comments will often help inform a buyer about potential delivery delays.

OP2 years agoThis format to resolve issues is obviously a joke. Message from fellow members that dont address the topic accurately, and Zero intrest from anyone who works for Ebay. what is the point?

OP2 years agoThe delay is unrelated to weather.
