Seller question 4 textbook
How much is the fee to sell a college textbook that I listed for sale? I know it comes out of the seller proceeds for the item sold, is it a percent thats deducted out of the total cost for the book sold? If so how much

·2 years agoHere is eBay's list of selling fees:
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822
eBay's commission (final value fee) for selling a book is 14.95%.
The commission is applied to the total of item+shipping+tax.
When you list the book, the buyer will pay item+shipping+tax.
eBay will process the sales tax and you will receive the item+shipping amount, minus eBay fees.
You can purchase a shipping label from those funds.
After the buyer receives the book, you will receive the remaining funds in a payout.
Example:
Book = $30.00
Shipping = $5.00
Sales tax = $2.40
Buyer pays $37.40
eBay fee = -$5.60
eBay takes the sales tax =-$2.50
You are assigned = $29.30
you buy postage for -$5.00
You get to keep $24.30
