Seller provides tracking for a thank you card no product delivered
So this just happened to me curious if this has happened to anyone else. I ordered an item requested to cancel seller said it was to late to cancel. Then seller claims lost in transit & says will issue a refund. Asked for tracking never responds. then 14 days later provides tracking showing the item was delivered. I remember without a doubt receiving a thank you card in the mail with tracking, thinking what is this for ? I had no idea so I threw it away. Now here I am 15 days later with no product and cannot prove how they committed a fradulent transaction. Ebay removed the negative feedback I left so the seller is free to do this to someone else. Ebay also closed the case in the sellers favor as they provided tracking I have no way to prove I only received a thank you card ? I guess it was a thank you for the free money. cant believe how down hill ebay has gone they dont even look into the details of what happened.

·2 years agoYou filed an INR and that's what the seller was hoping you would do.
Seller won because tracking showed it was delivered.
You should of filed an INAD and returned the thank you card for a refund.
If you paid with a credit card, open a case with them, but don't file an Item Not Received, file Not As Described.

OP2 years agoThank You for your reply. unfortunately, I had no idea what the card was for or who it was from. It was from a different state than the order I placed. So I did not associate it with the item I purchased or was waiting for. Seller also waited long enough knowing that I would not have saved some random thank you card. The seller added the tracking after I filed the complaint. A simple weight check will confirm that the package delivered is not what was ordered. I will look into that. The card was shipped USPS I believe this would fall into the catagory of mail fraud I will contact the appropriate authorities and file complaints.

·2 years agoFile mail fraud and a police report and try to get something from USPS stating what you received was just a thin envelope.
Once you have those, you can try to appeal the Ebay case and see what happens.
If they won't let you appeal it, then go to your credit card or your funding source and see if they can help.
