Seller protection regarding item swapping
How is the seller protected from a buyer purchasing a sports card....receiving it.....swapping it out for a lesser condition card....then requesting a refund and shipping out the card they had and keeping the one they bought from me. I've had this happen twice to me already and I don't want it to happen again.

·3 years agoThere is nothing a seller can do to prevent this from happening. If/when it does happen, it is the seller who must prove to eBay that the buyer did this. Obviously, that is very difficult to do. One way is to file a police report for theft of the item and another report with USPS for mail fraud and then using those reports to appeal eBay's decision to refund the buyer. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Other than that, small claims court against the buyer is about it.
