Seller promised to replace defective item and never did
Plenty of kind messages for 3 months promising to make it right or refund it, telling me they shipped new item with no tracking and never receiving it, and now again says they will send me another with no tracking and will take 30-40 more days to arrive, so I said it's been 3 months just refund me please, and now they won't respond. Is there anything that can be done?

Mentor2 years agoeBay has a procedure to request a refund if an item is not as described, but it only applies within thirty days of the receipt of the item. Buyers should never let a seller stall beyond that thirty day period, as once that passes, eBay can no longer help. Refunds are much faster and safer than requesting a replacement for this reason.
After thirty days, you may still have recourse through your payment method. PayPal and many credit cards offer up to six months of protection in some cases, though you may need to pay to ship the item back to the seller.
