Seller Pressuring Me to Change My Accurate Review
Summary: fredegold11 shared an experience about purchasing a part for their motorcycle that was inaccurately described by a seller on eBay. After leaving a negative review, the seller, who partially refunded the purchase, repeatedly contacted them to change the review. selforfun advised that they are not obligated to alter the review and suggested ignoring further messages and reporting the seller for harassment through eBay's support page.
Bought here a part for my motorcycle. The part was advertised by the seller as fitting my year make and model. The part did not fit. I wasted time trying to install the part, even tried to modify the part, to no avail. It was only about $20 so I chocked it up to life on eBay. I bought the part again from another seller and it fit perfectly. When reviewing, as the site requests, the part that did not fit, I indicated succinctly and plainly why my review was negative, in hopes that other similarly situated buyers would not fall into the same trap and waste time and money. The seller of the inaccurately described part (who refunded about 1/3 the purchase price) is continuously messaging me asking me to change or withdraw my review. I’ve politely asked them to stop. There appears to be no way to contact a human customer service agent on this platform or to report this poor behavior. Suggestions? Thanks.

You’ve already asked the seller politely to stop contacting you. At this point, I would stop responding and report the seller if the messages continue. eBay strictly prohibits harassment through member-to-member messaging.
You can report the seller here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
Use the “Suspicious seller activity” option on that page.
Then select “Seller sent threatening or abusive messages”
