Seller offered discount, but I was charged full listing price!
The seller offered a discount on 8/5/26; I accepted the offer on 8/6/26, but I noticed I was charged the full amount for the listing! I wouldn't have accepted this item at this price if eBay didn't automatically pay for the item without showing you the payment details! How can this be fixed? I already contacted the seller, who stated, "Unfortunately, he has no control over this issue, and I need to contact Customer Service—which is an entirely separate and ridiculous process!"

This usually happens if you pay from the listing vs the offer.
The seller CAN issue you a partial refund from the drop down menu next to the item.
eBay customer service can NOT change the sale price.
You can return the item as not as described when you receive it for a full refund since the Best Offer price is part of the description.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories. Trading cards, bullion, coins, paper money, and items that are sold as not working or for parts you only have 3 days from the date of delivery to file a refund request case.
Here's what you need to do:
You should open a Return Request. Reason> Doesn't Match photos and description

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
