Seller of Fine Jewelry Able to Bypass EBay Authentication Process
I will try to keep this short. What started out as a question to eBay as to why/how a seller is able to bypass the "automatic" qualification for a ring authentication, turned into the most aggravating and ***bleep*** conversations I have ever had with eBay in 24 years. Each of the qualifying criteria was met with this ring; and the final reasons provided to me "Seller only charged $22 for shipping; minimum for authentication is $25"; Oh, the "Seller listed the ring as having two main stones and you can only have one"; Oh, the "Seller listed the ring as handmade". Each of these flabbergated me. Does anyone have any idea how this can happen? I am going to pay out of pocket for an authentication; however, in doing so IF there is a problem I will be out the $150 charge for the authentication. Should not be the case. Thoughts??
