Seller not posting item
Hi all,
i purchased a car battery which included postage, after completing the purchase, I received a call from the seller informing me the battery was too heavy to post and I would need to arrange my own. So I told the seller I would like a refund to try elsewhere.
I then later received an email from the seller saying he was only going to issue a partial refund as he had already paid for postage and selling fees which seems unfair as it was his mistake.
What was also odd, is that the sale says posted, even though i know the battery wasn't posted as its back up for sale.
I've tried to contact Ebay but am unable to do so. I'm not sure what to do next as opening a return might make ebay think I've received the item when I haven't.

Indeed it is wrong to refund you partial.
Maybe it's possible to start a claim, after the delivery date, for an item not received to get the whole amount.

Add ‘agent' in the chat box that popped up.
Answer questions if showing up.
Find the agent, maybe under "More actions".

·2 years agoIf you don't get a package or full refund from the seller by the time the estimated delivery date you were given when you paid has fully passed, go to your Purchase History for that item, click the link for more options and select that you haven't received the item, then follow instructions from there. If you haven't gotten the item as described or a full refund after 3 days (but before 21 days) from doing so go back and you should find a link to "Ask eBay to step in" to get your refund.
