I bought ignition module that went bad during warranty period. I ended up buying a new one off of Amazon that cured problem. Now not sure if I need to stay purchasing from Amazon because Ebay sellers don't honor their word. Here is an email string.
| I have sent you messages about non working ignition module. As stated a year warranty, yet I have gotten no response since last email. this is the last email sent you.
Order number:04-11747-91746. I can not provide video. Now there is no spark at either bank. removed and installed old module and it runs on the right bank with spark. The reason I ordered a new was because it was only igniting on side. It is definitely the ignition module. If there is a year warranty on the module I got from you how do I get it replaced?
Can I get a reply so I know how to proceed? Sending me discounted price on ordering another is not acceptable | | |

cargod: I purchased this ignition module in June. It worked fine initially, but then started having random misfires when hot. I have changed both coils to determine that was not the issue. Now even cold starts it misses, I have checked pulse at plugs and can see misfires. How do I go about exchanging for a replacement? Thank You |

Mentor2 years agoIf you purchased a third-party warranty, contact the warranty service directly.
eBay's money back guarantee, which is not a warranty, only applies in the first thirty days after receipt of the item.
Manufacturer's warranties typically only apply if you purchase the item from an authorized dealer; check with the manufacturer to see what your options are.
A warranty is only as good as the reputation of whoever offers it. A claim of a two year warranty made by a random seller on eBay is not worth much. Neither you nor eBay can force the seller to honor the warranty if the seller disappears or ignores you.
You may have some protection from PayPal or your payment method; PayPal and many credit cards may offer up to six months protection for your purchases.
