Seller no longer registered on ebay
Hello ebay community,
I am in need of assistance. Recently, a delivered item did not arrive as expected when the seller and I had an understanding for this customized product beforehand.
I attempted to reach out to the seller via eBay messages but the seller is no longer registered on ebay. I then attempted to return the item in hopes that eBay can assist regarding the unregistered seller. Now I received that the return has been declined and it seemed that it came from the seller. It's unclear if ebay closed the return request or the seller.
Since the item is basically unusable and the seller does not accept returns, am I still covered by eBay's money back guarantee?
If so, how do I go about requesting a refund again?
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Mentor2 years agoWhat exactly was the reason for the return?
The seller's No Returns policy is only for buyer's remorse: changed mind, doesn't like it, doesn't fit, found it cheaper elsewhere. If the buyer states Not as Described, the seller WILL accept the return and pay for the return shipping label. If the seller refuses, ebay can refund the buyer out of the seller's funds, not require the buyer to return the item, and a defect is recorded on the seller's account for an unresolved transaction. No one can leave feedback.
You can only file ONE case per transaction, so if you paid using Paypal, you can file a return there, as they allow up to 180 days from date of transaction. If you paid with a credit card, contact the card issuer.
