Seller no longer a registered user?
Did I just get scammed by a seller? As my expected date of arrival approaches, the SELLER is no longer a registered user. I paid for my product and waited patiently so far for the past almost two weeks. Didn't bother to contact because I had no reason to, just patiently waiting. All of a sudden item is no longer exist or available and I CANNOT contact seller. I have a couple more days on my expected delivery date March 11-16. I'm already feeling anxious that this will turn out to be a scam! After the 16th, if I do not receive my item, then what? PLEASE ADVISE!

Mentor3 years agoIf the item does not arrive by the last estimated delivery date, you should be able to file an "item not received" case with eBay. Unless the seller provided a tracking number that appears to show delivery, you should win automatically.

If tracking shows delivery, there are other steps you can take on eBay. In that situation, follow up for further advice.
If you are unable to get help from eBay, you also have recourse through PayPal (if you used PayPal) or through your credit card issuer, though it is usually better to try going through eBay first, as going outside of eBay will prevent you from getting further help from eBay, so it is better to exhaust your eBay options entirely, first, then move on to other options. PayPal and most credit cards offer some protection for up to six months from a purchase.

OP3 years agoI do not have the selection "See request details" . option therefore i can't get the assistance. I keep going in circles with the options I am given but I'm just trying to get to the " Ask eBay to step in and help" and work from there. Can't report my issue. I think it's not giving me the option to do so because my item and seller no longer exists on the site. How can I get direct assistance from eBay?

Mentor3 years agoSee if the transaction still appears here among your recent orders:
https://www.ebay.com/help/home
If not, use the "Contact us" link, follow the prompts for your issue, then use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back in North America.

OP3 years agoi think i've exhausted all routes in getting in touch with customer service. Even the chat assistant box doesn't pop up or appear. The email I was referred to by Paypal says sent an email stating " mailbox full and can't accept messages now" And I have about a month to file claim or else i lose my money. What's wrong with the contact us link?

Mentor3 years agoI started on this page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042
Used the "Contact us" link, and typed "agent" into the chat window.
If you don't see that, try a different browser.

OP3 years agoAnd this is where I end up with all the prompts from Chat Assistant. Here i'm stuck.

Mentor3 years agoOK, I understand what is happening. I am assuming the item you purchased was not heavy equipment, but the seller listed in that category to get around the usual money back guarantee protection; that category has a different sort of protection more appropriate for industrial machinery that is purchased face to face rather than a standard eBay transaction through the mail.
You need to go through the general contact link, and tell customer service that you are trying to start a case for an item not received where the item was purposefully listed in the wrong category, and that the seller has since been removed from eBay. Customer service should be aware of that particular scam and should be able to open the case for you.
Start here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042&st=7&po=1&uci=0&ri=0
And use that "Contact us" link at the bottom.
