Seller never sent item
Item ordered on Nov 27th and was informed of a delay. After a couple months of updates they say that they will finally have the item in stock in March 2026. Now they seller has stopped responding and I cannot ask "ebay to step in" as the option isn't there. I do not know what to do. Do I just lose close to a $100? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

eBay can only help for 30 days after the expected delivery date.
Call your credit card issuer and ask them to open a dispute for an item not received. Most cards can help for 180 days. If you used PayPal, file the not received claim there.

OP5 months agoWell it's been 120ish days and I've started the dispute but they said I should try to work with ebay... Ebay has been no help at all. When I sold something on this platform I had to wait until it was delivered or provide trackinginformation to collect the funds so where are the funds being held right now if not with the seller? That's a really scummy business practice. I will not be using this platform again but thanks for the suggestion and buyers beware.

Sellers have to wait for their funds, but since a claim can only be filed for 30 days, that is pretty much the limit to the hold. Your seller got paid months ago.
eBay offers great buyer protection, but there are rules to follow.
