Seller never received their item, shipped via eBay
Hi, I shipped an item intentionally using eBay shipping. The tracking shows the item has not been delivered and is now a week beyond the expected shipping date. The buyer wants a refund, which I'm willing to give but what recourse do I have to recoup my list item. I couldn't find anything thru the eBay questions.

Do you mean you shipped the item internationally, and if so, did you use the ebay International Shipping (shipping to a hub, usually Glendale Heights, IL)? If so, then have the buyer file an Item Not Received case. You reply that you used EIS to ship the item, and ebay will take care of your buyer. You get to keep the payment.
If you shipped directly to the buyer, you can go to USPS.COM and file an insurance claim for a missing item if you shipped Priority International. You refund your buyer without waiting for the claim to process.
