Seller messages sending incorrect item prior to item to delivery
Summary: roomivintage reported receiving the wrong part from a seller on eBay and described issues with the seller initially refusing to pay for return shipping. Although the seller promised to send the correct item, roomivintage has not received it or tracking information. disneyshopper advised them to initiate a return through eBay's system by selecting 'Not as Described,' which would require the seller to provide a prepaid label. If the issue persists, they suggested asking eBay to intervene for a refund.
Seller acknowledged through eBay Messages that the wrong part was shipped and initially instructed me not to accept/return it because he did not want to pay the return shipping. Seller subsequently promised to send the correct replacement via UPS but has not provided replacement tracking and the replacement has not arrived. I would like either the correct part with valid tracking or a full refund with a seller-paid return label for the incorrect part.
He keeps messaging with false information that new part will be shipped without providing tracking number. All communication is in eBay messaging.

-If you Refuse the package and it is returned YOU lose your eBay Money Back Guarantee protection. Do NOT refuse the package.
- If they sent the wrong item then you do not need to be in contact with them, le the eBay return process work for you REGARDLESS of the Seller's return policy.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Go to the item in your Purchase history and file a RETURN using the reason "Does not match pictures or description". eBay will issue you a pre-paid return shipping label regardless of the Seller's return policy. You return the item and the Seller will have 2 days to refund you. Failing that you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
You can report a Seller here: Online Customer Service - Report an issue with a seller

Mentor2 weeks agoIf the item you received is not as described, you need to go to your Purchase History, locate the item and click RETURN THIS ITEM. Click the MORE option so you can select Not as Described. The seller will have to accept the return and provide a prepaid shipping label for the item's return. PRINT THE LABEL, affix it to the package. Make sure the clerk at the post office scans the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller has 2 days to refund you. If no refund. go back to the Returns Request and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THE ITEM.
