Seller (me) needs to ship a parcel but not for 5 weeks. How do I square with ebay (tracking?)
Buyer won't be able to receive parcel for 5 weeks will notify seller when to ship

If you do not ship within your handling time you will get dinged for a late shipment. Depending on your sales volume one late shipment might not be an issue, however if you do not sell much it could bring your late shipment percentage to below standard. What you can do is message the buyer and let them know eBay requires you to ship within your handling time and you are unable to delay shipping. Ask if they want you to cancel the sale.
You can cancel the sale as buyer requested. If you want to hold the item for them and list it again, when they can have it shipped, you can offer to do that. If you do not want to hold it and want to list right away that is your choice.
5 weeks is a very long time to have an item sitting in limbo.
