Seller listed item as shipped from the US, It isn't.

Question

The seller of an item I purchased several days ago listed that it was located/shipped in the US. But by the tracking number/company given it's coming from China. I no longer buy anything on Ebay from China. So technically he lied. Is that a breach of some rule or stipulation in Ebays seller contract?

I'm asking you all first before I bring this to Ebays attention, so if it isn't, I won't look a fool.

Any pertinent thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

When you receive the item, do this...

If you received an item that is not as described (the listing described the item as shipping from the US), you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

The seller may try to trick you into closing the case, leave positive feedback in order to perform, or ship you something else... Ignore all of that and just follow the process above.

For the future, you can avoid sellers located in China by going to their full feedback page and checking their country of registration before you commit to buy.
