Seller Issued Refund to Gift Card I No Longer have said item sold to another buyer due to glitch….

Question

I ordered an item and won. Received a message front he seller stating that an order came through right before mine…. Called it an EBay glitch. Yet I had won the item and even paid with gift card and credit card from remaining amount. So seller refunded to the gift card that I threw away…. Ever heard of this supposed glitch? How do I get the money back on a gift card that I threw away?

@lyonjrsid The gift card should be in your account next time you check out. Once you use a gift card it is tied to your account as are the refunds issued to it.

Hi @lyonjrsid

No, that "glitch" does not exist. The Seller is lying to you. However, they have no clue how you paid for the item so throwing away the gift card will result in you losing that amount of money you used it for.
