Seller issue
So, a buyer requested a return and I accepted. However, upon second thought, we don't want the package shipped back to us. We just want to refund the buyer and let them keep the package. But, since I accepted the return, it keeps going to charge me shipping even though I don't want it back. It won't let me go back and change my choice. It keeps bringing me to the return page where shipping is involved. Is there a way to cancel the acceptance of the return and then fully refund the buyer? Or is it too late and I am stuck paying for the shipping.

You're not charged for shipping unless the buyer actually ships the item back. You can go ahead and refund through the case. Be sure though to ask the buyer NOT to return the item and to keep it, donate it, or otherwise dispose of it.

Thanks for the response. It is showing shipping included in the price when I go to refund it and it is asking for me to pay for it then and there.

Return shipping costs when you use an eBay label
When the buyer is returning the item to you, the cost of the label will be charged to your account once it’s scanned by the carrier. We may ask you to accept a billing agreement to authorize payment for these kinds of charges. If the buyer doesn’t use the return shipping label, you are not charged for the cost of the label.
Any time you use an eBay return shipping label, eBay will automatically select the cheapest return option for your item.
In some instances, return shipping charges are estimated rather than based on the actual weight of the package. These charges are based on rates negotiated by eBay, and are typically less than what you would pay the carrier for the same item.
If the expected shipping charges exceed the expected refund or the refund value of a replacement or exchange, an eBay return shipping label won’t be available.
