Seller is refusing return "didn't pass inspection"

Has anyone had this issue and if so what did you do?

I received the ring, it was fine. It was to large so I put on a sizer. A diamond fell out of the setting after only 2 weeks and had only worn it 3 times. Seller received my ring after sending all the pictures to them. You can see the sizer in the pictures. They are saying it didn't pass inspection and sending it back. They won't respond to my emails asking for explanation and I don't see where I can request Ebay to step in, but the option doesn't show up.

What are my next steps?

@superstarstacey . When you return an item that was authenticated it is returned to eBay Authenticity program. eBay inspects the item and makes sure it's in the same condition as when it was sold. If it's determined that the ring was changed or damaged in some way then they deny the return and it will be sent back to you.
