Seller is playing the system. How do I call ebay to talk to someone for resolution?
Summary: yodaluka experienced an issue with a seller on eBay, receiving a watch band instead of a Fitbit and struggling to get a response. They reported the issue but encountered difficulty getting eBay involved due to updated tracking information. mr_lincoln advised them to use the eBay Money Back Guarantee to file a return for the incorrect item and allow eBay to handle the process. yodaluka appreciated the advice and planned to follow it, while mr_lincoln reassured them about the return process, highlighting that contact with the seller is unnecessary.
Dear Ebay Community --
I've just had my first unresolveable issue with a seller since 2007.
I ordered a fitbit. Got a watch band. Contacted seller twice -- no response. Put in a negative review and report. Seller "updated" tracking information.. which is still for the watchband, not the fit bit.
I've waited patiently for October 1 to ask ebay to step in but it seems because the seller updated the tracking information I'm not getting an option for ebay to step in and I'm getting caught in a loop.
Any idea how I get ebay to step in with the seller?
Thanks.

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @yodaluka
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Go to the item in your Purchase history and file a RETURN using the reason "Does not match pictures or description". eBay will issue you a pre-paid return shipping label regardless of the Seller's return policy. You return the item and the Seller will have 2 days to refund you. Failing that you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
You can report a Seller here: Online Customer Service - Report an issue with a seller

If you are within the 30 days from delivery it should go just fine. You do NOT need to be in contact with the Seller during this process. Just let the eBay system work for you.
