Seller is lying about everything.
Saw this really good deal for a new cryptocurrency mining device that was reasonably priced. Seller had a around 28 positive reviews with a few sells.
Item description was this:
"ICERIVER KAS KS0 100GH/S 65W Kaspa Asic Miner Mining with PSU And FAN BRAND NEW.READY TO SHIP OUT FROM USA . Fast Shipping Next day air ship"
Bought the item Wednesday before 6am est. I receive a usps ground tacking number instantly from new york which isn't where the seller is located according to eBay... which made me a little worried considering most people would be asleep.
I message him this:
Hi, thanks for the sell. Quick question. It shows standard shipping but your description said next day air. Which one of these is it?
Seller responds
"We will try to get it next day air ship there some item that will leave where house late , in few case
thank you"
After Friday night and I see there's no progress and I ask the seller to cancel
He responds I'll have my money back in 3 to 5 business days like he works for eBay
There's no cancelation notification. The seller is pulling my leg. How come my buying experience is full of this with high dollar items. Its such a process and fight to get your money back. The scam seller probably thrives of a small chance the buyer gives up and allows the seller to take of with the money. The ebay process is long and tedious and redundant.
Why can't I contact ebay?
why is there so many mislesding and disloyal sellers.
Can't ebay Just give me my money back this seller is obviously full of it.

Try this before going through your payment method to get your money back. If you try eBay first, you can still try PayPal or your credit card later; but if you go to your credit card issuer first, you cannot go back to eBay for help with that transaction.
In general, you can avoid a lot of headaches by choosing to purchase only from established sellers that have recent and past positive feedback as a seller for selling items in the same category that you intend to buy. If someone is selling a dozen apple watches, but has no feedback, or only has feedback as a buyer, or only has feedback for selling dress patterns or fishing lures (actual examples I have seen), perhaps wait until they have a track record of positive feedback for selling electronics before you buy from them.
You might miss out on a good deal from a new seller once in a while, and nothing can guarantee that you won't still run into an issue anyway, but you can avoid a lot of potential problems by choosing to do business with established sellers. Anyone can put together a listing that looks nice -- it is not hard at all to simply copy an existing listing -- but it is much harder to create a history of consistent sales and positive feedback.
For more experienced sellers, you can learn a lot about the sort of seller you are dealing with by checking the seller's feedback page to see where the seller is registered and to notice if the seller has any negative feedback. If you see negatives indicated in the table of recent feedback, you can choose to exclusively see each type of comment by clicking on the numbers shown in the table. Reading negative or neutral comments can often tell you if a seller has a pattern of problems with items not matching the descriptions, canceled orders, late deliveries or item location misrepresentation.
If a seller has a pattern of too many serious negatives -- or just not enough positive history -- it is often better to find another seller with a better track record to do business with.

OP3 years agoI appreciate the insight on solutions. I admit I went greedy by finding the cheapest listing but I found the same items went for sale at the same price by other sellers
I just don't understand why I have to play a game with a seller.
Ebay should be able to recognize blatant lies.

eBay is a web site and some computer programming that handles millions of transactions; most issues are dealt with by automated processes. eBay could not function if every transaction required a human to pass judgement on it. In order to get beyond that and be able to present evidence that proves that seller is lying, you will have to gather some documentation, and then find a way to get in touch with a human that is in a position to evaluate your proof and actually assist you.
Scammers know how the rules work, are willing to lie and cheat, and will not make things easy for you to prove your case.

-It sounds like you ran in to professional criminal who is trying to steal your money. The tracking number protects them if you file an item not received claim one day after the original estimated delivery date.
-What will happen is tracking will show delivered but you will look in your mailbox and nothing will be there. It makes getting your money back a challenge and yes, scammers count on a % of Buyers simply giving up.
-Tehcnically, if you receive nothing then that is Not as described because in fact you purchased something.
If it were me I would file a return claiming "does not match description or pictures", Seller is forced to pay for a return shipping label, you ship back what they sent you ... nothin' ... you have to include a picture with that return.
-The other options are PayPal (if you used them) but you have to pay the return shipping'
-Credit card charge back if you used a card
